Introduction
This is my review of the Chase Sapphire The Club Lounge in Boston Logan’s Airport.
In general terms this is a highly impressive lounge, with great food, drinks and layout.
I’m not quite sure how this operates…. It is a ‘The Club’ lounge, which operate in many of the other airports I’ve visited and reviewed (such as Las Vegas, San Jose, Seattle, etc, etc). However, I was told I was only allowed to use my Priority Pass “once” in the year for this lounge and my American Express was not accepted for entry – albeit that it is on the American Express website.

Opening Hours
The lounge is open daily from 05:00 to 23:00.
Entry Conditions
As I have explained above, the actual basis of entry is a little confusing. On the one hand when I flashed my American Express Platinum I was told “no” and when I flashed my Priority Pass I was told I could use it only once in a year. Of course the American Express Platinum is linked to Priority Pass – so really it amounted to the same thing;
- A Chase Sapphire Reserve card gives you access
- Priority Pass gives you access (once per year)
- American Express Platinum/Centurion may give you access
- You can pay around $100 for entry.
How to Get There
Since I was connecting, I am not entirely sure how you get there from Security.
But in essence, if you’re in Terminal B, find Gates B39/B40 and opposite you’ll see the entrance to the lounge.
Then it’s up in the elevators and the check in desks are immediately in front if you.
Layout
This is a fairly large lounge, but I found virtually every seat, table and both had been taken.
There a number of seated areas by the food section, with tables (with high and low tables) – which are fine to work from and/or eat and drink.
There is a large amount of casual and sofa seating around the lounge.
There are also a few Pods, which are ideal for taking calls and working – but annoyingly these had been taken over by people eating.
There are also some wellness rooms dotted about with a massage chair.
For me, there were a couple of things missing: Firstly anywhere to sleep; and Secondly anywhere to work or take calls from. I may have missed these areas – but I don’t think so!
Food & Drinks
Drinks
Some of the drinks in the lounge are self-service – such as tea and coffee, and there is a self-service fridge for soft drinks.
If you want something stronger, there is a bar which serves virtually anything – and it’s all included!
Boston is well known for its beers and there were a number of local beers on offer.
Food
I thought the food here was fantastic.
There is a deli/kitchen area for the usual self-service bits and pieces – this included salads, sushi, etc. – and some desert items.
Additionally, there is a menu which can be ordered to the QR code on your table.
I decided to have the burger, which I found pretty good – albeit it maybe a 6/10 on presentation!
Wifi
The Wifi, I found to be fine – it did everything I needed it to do, which as basic emails, etc.
Showers
This lounge has a number of showers – which can be booked for a specific time slot. I had booked in for a time slot, but it seemed that even going in early the shower would only be available at the time booked.
The shower room I found great quality, and the shower suitably hot!
Conclusion
All in all, this is a great lounge – it has great decor, great food and drinks, a considered wellness area, and good quality showers.
The whole entrance thing (nonsense) about once a year on a Priority Pass, seemed to me to be unreasonable – and I don’t understand why the lounge is on the American Express website if you can’t access it.
But these issues aside, it’s a fantastic lounge in Boston.
